HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Commission invites the public to celebrate the completion of the waterfront walkway today starting at 4:30 p.m. this afternoon with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The waterfront walkway connects the East and West Black Lake Boardwalk along Lake Macatawa. Attendees may also enter the historic pump house to learn about the past and future of the building.
A screening of the 1972 silent movie, The Pumphouse Movie will take place with the director Dan Aument and the film’s star present.
Following the ceremony, light refreshments from DeBoer’s Bakery will be served and parking is free at both the boardwalks east and west parking lots.
