ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – A 16-year-old Zeeland Township resident Kellen Voss escaped serious injury yesterday evening after pulling out in front of a semi-truck hauling gravel.
Voss was southbound on 74th Avenue when he pulled into the path of an incoming semi-truck driven by 26-year-old Kevin Johnson of Grand Haven.
According to Kristie Wendt of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s office, the semi-tractor trailor hauling gravel was westbound on Adams Street approaching 74th Avenue and had the right of way when Voss pulled out in front of him.
Voss who was wearing his seatbelt, was transported to Zeeland Community Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. Johnson was not unjured in the crash.
Responding agencies were AMR ambulance and the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.
