EAST LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The Michigan High School Athletic Association has announced classification changes for the 2016 academic year, based on enrollment counts taken last month and last October, as well as aligning the four classes into equal amounts of 187 or 188 schools. The only local change is Fennville, as the Blackhawks will move up from Class C to Class B, joining Holland Christian, Zeeland West and Hamilton. Holland, West Ottawa and Zeeland East remain in Class A; Saugatuck and Black River remain in Class C, and Calvary remains in Class D.
