HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Hope College’s chemistry laboratory will conduct monthly testing of waters taken along the Allegan County shores of Lake Michigan this summer, monitoring the presence of E.coli. This is part of a state DNR program involving county health departments and other organizations across Michigan, with the Flying Dutchmen the only undergrads among five academic institutions participating. Hope has been involved in examining pollution levels of Lake Macatawa for the past four years.
