HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Lemonade stands will pop up across southwest Michigan this Saturday to benefit a new anti-human trafficking initiative.
12 stands will open Saturday under the direction of ProjeXt Hope, with the goal of raising $10,000 dollars in just one day, along with bringing awareness to the reality of local human trafficking.
Each stand will have signs, posters, fact sheets, and tablets with information on the movement.
The lemonade will be free, though visitors are encouraged to make a donation by either cash or credit. Proceeds will benefit the END IT movement, an organization committed to ending and bringing awareness to human trafficking.
Both volunteers and local officials are donating their time to run the stands, including State Rep. Amanda Price.
