PARK TWP, MI (WHTC) – An accident has left two people injured near 96th Avenue and I-96 after the vehicle involved drove into a guardrail.
The car was driven by Jeremy Payne, 17 of Grand Rapids and had one passenger, Sierra Hardy, 17 of Grand Rapids also.
Payne said that a light gold Buick was driving alongside him before making an unexpected move. According to Sgt. Brian Buter of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, Payne said the driver stared at him, passed him and pulled into his lane. After entering into his lane, the vehicle then hit its brakes which then caused Payne to lose control and ram his vehicle into the interstate’s guardrail.
The Buick was not struck and fled the scene.
Payne and Hardy were both transported to Helen Devos Children’s Hospital and remain in stable condition.
