HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A new observation deck will allow visitors to witness the construction of the Holland Energy Park as it enters its second month of development.
The Holland Board of Public Works (BPW) invites visitors to watch the construction process of the $200-million project from the panoramic view of the ADA compliant deck, located at East 7th street, just west of Fairbanks.
Dan Nally, the business services director at the Holland BPW, believes the new deck will be a great opportunity for kids to make memories.
“This is a legacy project,” Nally said. “Those same kids years later will say, ‘I remember watching this being built as a child.’”
The park, which is expected to be fully operational by 2017, plans to double the fuel efficiency of Holland’s present power generation, expand the snowmelt system and district heating, and provide an eastern gateway to city with its modern building design.
