HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Pearl Mist Cruise Ship is returning to Holland this Sunday for the first of six stops during the 2015 cruising season. The ship, a luxury cruising vessel is in its second year on the Great Lakes and accommodates over 200 passengers.
Costumed greeters and Holland’s Town Crier, John Karsten, will meet the ship. Although the ship’s docking at VerPlank Dock Company will be closed to the public, residents and visitors can view the Pearl Mist entering and exiting the Holland channel from Kollen Park, Holland State Park and the Black Lake Boardwalk.
Viewing times may change based on weather, sailing conditions, and as determined by the ship’s Captain. Suggested viewing times are as follows:
Sunday, July 26, Entering the channel at 12pm for a 1pm disembarkation
Wednesday, July 29, Entering the channel at 7am for an 8am disembarkation
Sunday, August 16, Entering the channel at 12pm for a 1pm disembarkation
Wednesday, August 19, Entering the channel at 7am for an 8am disembarkation
Sunday, August 30, Entering the channel at 12pm for a 1pm disembarkation
Wednesday, September 2, Entering the channel at 7am for an 8am disembarkation
The Pearl Mist, operated by the Pearl Seas Cruise Line, visited Holland Harbor for the first time in 2014.
