Grand Valley State split a basketball doubleheader with visiting Saginaw Valley State at the Fieldhouse Arena last night. Brionna Barnett had 20 points as the Lakers took the women’s opener, 69-59. The Cardinals captured the men’s nightcap, 73-68, as Caleb Davis scored 19 points and Garrett Hall added 18. GVSU’s teams are at Hillsdale tomorrow afternoon.
In state major college basketball last night, Michigan State won at Rutgers, 71-51, while Detroit outscored visiting Youngstown State in overtime, 93-87.
Hope College’s teams are in action tomorrow afternoon. While the Flying Dutch face the Belles of St. Mary’s in South Bend, the Flying Dutchmen entertain Trine, with coverage on 92.7 The Van beginning at 2:40 PM.
