HOLLAND (WHTC) – Holland has been named one of 50 communities that will compete for a $5 million prize offered by Georgetown University for its efforts to increase energy efficiency. The university announced the list earlier today. The Georgetown Energy Prize competition challenges communities between 5,000 and 250,000 residents to find new solutions to save energy. The selected communities will now compete over the next two years to come up with the most innovative solutions to improve energy efficiency.
