UNDATED (WHTC) – Hope College visits Trine College in a MIAA men’s basketball tournament semifinal game this evening. Mike Coleman and Adam Prince bring you the action on 92.7 The Van, beginning at 7:10 PM. Both teams had identical 17-8 overall and 10-4 league marks, with each winning on the other’s home court during the regular season. The Flying Dutchmen are seeking to play at Calvin or host Alma on Saturday evening, depending on how the game between the Knights and Scots go tonight at Van Noord Arena; it would be Hope’s 10th straight conference finals appearance if it wins in Angola. Trine has never made it to the league finals and is 1-10 all time in the MIAA tournament.
For the fifth straight year, Grand Valley State ends regular season basketball action in Big Rapids against arch-enemy Ferris State tonight. The Lady Lakers are vying for a first-round GLIAC tournament home game with a victory over the Lady Bulldogs. The GVSU men need a victory over Ferris and hope some tie-breaking scenarios play out in their favor this evening in order to reach the league tournament.
