ZEELAND (WHTC) – The nonprofit entity that now oversees such Zeeland events as Pumpkinfest and Zeelmania has hired a director of events. Casey Dunwoodie is a Zeeland native and Eastern Michigan University graduate who has previously worked on such events as Dogarama. Zeeland Festivals board president Ginger Smith says the hire is the first since the organization recently merged four major festivals and events under its umbrella. In addition to Pumpkinfest in the fall, Dunwoodie will have responsibility over Zeelmania and the Show and Shine Car Show during the summer and the Magical Christmas Parade during the holidays.
