BATTLE CREEK, MI (WHTC) – The son of former Holland Mayor Lou Hallacy has received a judicial appointment from Governor Snyder. John Hallacy will fill a vacancy in the Calhoun County Circuit Court bench until this coming November, when the seat will be contested in an election to complete the final two years of Conrad Sindt’s term. John Hallacy was elected as a Battle Creek District Court Judge in 2008 after two four-year terms as Calhoun County Prosecutor, and has been involved in the legal field for 27 years. Lou Hallacy was Holland Mayor from 1973 through 1979.
