HUDSONVILLE, MI (WHTC) – Travis Fox of Indiana who was charged in the death of 13-year-old David Talsma has been sentenced to 18 months probation and $3,000 in restitution and fines WZZM TV 13 reports. .
In August Fox smashed into the back of a mini-van killing 13-year-old David Talsma who was in the back seat. Fox admitted he was eating a sandwhich and checking GPS when he didn’t realize traffic had stopped for construction on I-196 near Hudsonville.
Fox had entered a not guilty plea to a moving violation causing death on October 7. His attorney says is has cooperated with police from the beginning and has taken this quite seriously. Fox has had no prior trouble with the law.
