UNDATED (WHTC) – During this afternoon’s special meeting, the board of the Holland Board of Public Works is expected to approve a construction delegation and payment agreement with Ottawa County for the 2015 Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Project. The BPW and the county Board had already agreed that the county would issue 19 million dollars General Obligation Bonds to fund the effort, taking advantage of the county’s rating to get a favorable bond rate.
Meanwhile, during tonight’s meeting, the Saugatuck City Council is expected to approve an ordinance amendment regarding ownership and operations of short-term housing, in advance of the start of the tourism season, as well as retaining Edgewater Resources to seek alternatives for dealing with the sedimentation of Kalamazoo Lake. State DNR and DEQ officials held a public meeting on this matter last week, citing concerns about disturbing sensitive sturgeon breeding sites.
