CHICAGO (WHTC) – Amtrak officials say that, beginning on May 4th, the Pere Marquette passenger train service between Grand Rapids and Chicago that makes stops twice daily in Holland will make changes to its schedule. Westbound service will leave the Calder City at 6 AM, stops at the Padnos Transportation Center at 6:54 AM, and arrives in Chicago at 9:11 AM Central Time. Eastbound service leaves the Windy City at 6:30 PM Central time, stops in Holland at 10:34 PM, and arrives in Grand Rapids at 11:39 PM.
The changes come due to increased passenger numbers and the building of the Ehlers Station in Grand Rapids that allows Amtrak to establish up to a 10-member crew base in the Calder City.
