HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – Two separate crashes less than three hours apart on Holland’s North Side hospitalized two women on Monday.
An 86-year-old Grand Haven woman suffered an undisclosed medical condition that caused her to crash her vehicle into a store around 9:30 AM. Betty Punt pulled into the parking lot of the Goodwill outlet off of Lakewood Boulevard when she was stricken. Her vehicle struck a parked vehicle and then careened into the side of the building, but didn’t enter it. She was taken to Holland Hospital for treatment of the condition; there were no crash-related injuries reported.
Around the noon hour, a 69-year-old Holland woman was taken to Holland Hospital for treatment after her vehicle was broadsided by another vehicle that ran a red light. Dixie Hart is expected to recover from her injuries suffered when she was driving westbound with a green light on Felch Street, trying to cross US-31, and a northbound vehicle slammed into her vehicle. The other driver involved, 26-year-old Kyle Glass of Hudsonville, was not hurt.
Both crashes remains under investigation.
