HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Two Grand Haven residents, including a 7 year-old-child, were injured in a rollver crash Saturday on U.S. 31 near Ferris Street.
A 17-year old Holland resident whose name is being withheld, was driving at a high rate of speed NB on U.S. 31. The car rear-ended a car driven by Jennifer Kitchen, 41 of Grand Haven. According to Ottawa County Sgt. Matt Wilfong, the impact caused Kitchens car to leave the road and enter the median. The car then hit a ditch and overturned coming to rest on it’s roof. The occupants were trapped in the car for a brief time.
Kitchen and her 7-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. They were listen in good condition.
Grand Haven Township fire rescue and North Community Hospital ambulance also assisted on the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
