HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — An 84-year-old Holland resident went by ambulance to Holland Hospital have a two-vehicle crash just after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2020.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Nicholas Knott indicated it appears the man had been backing our of a private driveway, near the intersection of Butternut Drive and James Street in Holland Township
His car collided with a vehicle traveling south on Butternut, with a 21-year-old South Beloit IL, man at the wheel. The crash pinned the Holland man in his vehicle, police said.
Holland Township firefighters extradited the driver; his injuries are non-life-threatening Knott said.
Knott said the at-fault driver got ticketed for failing to yield the right of way. Police did not release names of the drivers.
