LANSING (WKZO) -- Thirty-one Michigan Department of Natural Resources employees have returned home after spending three weeks fighting wildfires in the northwest United States. The DNR workers were sent to help repress wildfires in California, Idaho, Oregon and Washington, and all are trained as firefighters. Twenty were sent to Medford, Oregon, while the other eleven were assigned to several other fires performing fire-line leadership tasks.
