GRAND HAVEN TWP., MI (WHTC) - There were some anxious moments at a Grand Haven area school yesterday morning.
Rosy Mound Elementary School was locked down for several hours yesterday after deputies found the vacant, parked car of a 32-year-old Shelbyville man parked in its parking lot. The unnamed man was reported despondent by family members who hadn't heard from him since taking a call from him in that area the night before. Around 12 Noon, a canine unit spotted the man in a tent at a wooded area several hundred yards away from the school. He was cooperative with authorities, and said that he had no ties to the school or anyone in it.
The man was taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital for observation; the school resumed normal operations once the man was found.
