PARK TWP., MI (WHTC) - Residents living near the proposed Point West One marina into Lake Macatawa used a state DEQ hearing in Park Township Hall last night to repeat their opposition to the 80-slip docking area, citing concerns over boat traffic, loss of navigable waters, and loss of a special anchorage area. Developers argue that those concerns have been addressed in their plans. The DEQ and Army Corps of Engineers will separately decide on approving the project. Many of those residents were also opposed to Point West One’s condo plans at the side, citing density concerns.
