WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKZO) -- The Bay Mills Indian Community will be allowed to move forward off-reservation casinos in Michigan. The U.S. Supreme Court issued a 5-4 decision citing the tribe's immunity in dismissing the state's lawsuit that argued a now-closed casino near Gaylord was illegal. The tribe also owns land in Flint Township with plans for a casino there, and another off-reservation casino is being planned in downtown Lansing by the Sault St. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
