HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) --A film that had many scenes shot in and around the Holland area premiers at the Knickerbocker Theater on Friday, May 23rd. “Return to the Hiding Place” is based on the true story of Corrie Ten Boom and Hans Poley who were teens during World War II and helped rescue many Dutch Jews during the Holocaust. Holland City Councilwoman Nancy DeBoer say the film was shot in 2010. The DeZwaan Windmill and Hope College are backdrops and the Felt Mansion was draped with red swastika banners. Showings are scheduled at the Knickerbocker Theater for 1:30 P.M. and 4:30 P.M. on Friday and Saturday. The film will also be shown at 4 P.M. next Tuesday and Wednesday.
