UNDATED (WHTC) -- Two people charged in the murder of a Park Township man have asked that their probable-cause hearings be delayed while attorneys review evidence. Police say the death of 38-year-old Jose Patricio Hernandez on January 6th was part of a plot to collect on several life insurance policies. Maryann Castorena, Hernandez’ ex-girlfriend, is the sole or joint beneficiary on the policies. Police searched her residence three days after the murder, finding a note with instructions on how to carry out the homicide. The fingerprints of Anthony Delagarza were found on the note. He is also charged in the murder. The pair are charged with open murder and conspiracy on May 7th.
