HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - It promises to be an action-packed Holland City Council meeting this evening. There shouldn’t be too many challenges when the panel holds a hearing before voting on a proposed 20.6 million-dollar general fund budget for Fiscal 2015, as property tax rates will remain constant for a third straight year at 15.1 mills. However, there may be some discussion ahead of a vote on a proposed ordinance amendment that would allow indoor shooting ranges to be built and operated within the city limits. Residents living near a planned expansion of Bullet Hole Gun Shop’s property off of 8th Street near the Holland Heights neighborhood have expressed concerns about noise and safety of such a range.
