HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - A joint effort of Hope College and the City of Holland is going to get off the ground. The two entities announced a 65 thousand-dollar grant from the Funders’ Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities. This is reportedly the last financial piece needed to launch a Sustainability Institute, coordinated by the city and the school, that would provide education and outreach associated with Holland’s Community Energy Plan. The other major pieces include a three-year, 75 thousand-dollar grant from the Community Foundation of Holland/Zeeland, along with $37,500 annually over three years by the city and the Holland BPW.
