UNDATED (WHTC) -- It’s time for the annual Green Commute and the Macatawa Area Coordinating Council is asking local residents, governments and organizations to take part. You can impact the environment and your pocket by leaving your car at home and taking alternative transportation two or three times per week. You’ll save money on gas and keep pollutants from entering the air. The Green Commute Local Business Challenge is happening again with local businesses serving as recharging stations. When you sign up, you’ll get discounts on food items, bike services and free rides on the MAX. The Green Commute takes place from May 12th through the 17th.
