UNDATED (WHTC) - Dallas Keuchel scattered six hits with seven strikeouts over nearly eight innings, as he pitching visiting Houston past the Tigers yesterday, 6-2. With an eight-game winning streak snapped, Detroit now hosts Minnesota this evening. Coverage from Comerica Park is at 6:40 PM on 1450 WHTC.

Mike Olt homered and drove in four runs as the visiting Cubs salvaged the finale of the Second City Challenge Series from the White Sox last night, 12-5. This evening, the Cubs are in Atlanta and the White Sox host Arizona at US Cellular Field.

Tyler Gibson’s single in the bottom of the ninth inning plated the winning run, as the Whitecaps edged visiting Lansing last night, 7-6. West Michigan carries a five-game winning streak into this evening’s contest versus the Lugnuts at Fifth Third Ballpark.

The Blackhawks skate at Minnesota in NHL Stanley Cup Playoff action this evening, with Chicago leading the best-of-seven Western Conference Semifinals, two games to one.

Dustin Jeffrey scored twice as Texas downed the visiting Griffins in AHL Calder Cup Playoff action last night, 5-2. The Stars lead the best-of-seven Western Conference Semifinals, one game to none, and will host Grand Rapids at the Cedar Park Center in suburban Austin tomorrow evening.

The NFL Draft began last night with first round selections. Houston took South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney with the top overall pick; the Lions tabbed North Carolina tight end Eric Ebron 10th; the Bears chose Virginia Tech cornerback Kyle Fuller 14th; Michigan offensive tackle Taylor Lewan went 11th to Tennessee; and Michigan State cornerback Darqueze Dennard was grabbed by Cincinnati at number 24. The draft continues this evening.
