DETROIT (WKZO) -- A public relations campaign is now underway statewide in an attempt by gay rights advocates to sway the attitudes of Michigan residents to overturn the 2004 ban on same-sex marriage. Equality Michigan officials say their first step remains pushing forward with their court challenge to the ban, but if that fails, look for a ballot initiative in 2016. Executive director Emily Dievendcorf says their "roadmap to victory calls for work on two tracks."
