HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - The first half of the 2014 Tulip Time Festival ends with the conclusion of this evening’s activities, which include FiddleFire performing at the Knickerbocker Theatre, Welcome to Mitford at the Civic Theatre, and a Tulip Time Salute by local high school students at Central Wesleyan Auditorium. Downtown merchants are preparing for the first of three major festival parades, with the Volksparade featuring Governor Snyder tomorrow afternoon.
Despite a cool and grey Monday, many people came to the Holland Area Arts Council building on 8th Street to see the annual Tulip Time Festival Quilt Show, along with the 19 entries for the "People's Choice" poster award competition that ends on Saturday. In this video, council Executive Director Lorma Freestone talked about the contest and the entries.
The 80th Tulip Time Festival runs through Saturday.
