Scherzer Strong Enough to Stop Sox; Griffins Fall

UNDATED (WHTC) - Bryan Holaday and Victor Martinez each drove in two runs, while Max Scherzer allowed four hits with seven strikeouts over six innings, as the Tigers beat the White Sox at US Cellular Field yesterday, 5-1. Tomorrow evening, while Chicago visits Cleveland, Detroit opens a weekend series at Kansas City, with coverage on 1450 WHTC at 7:45 PM.

Nate Schierholz drove in three runs and Anthony Rizzo scored three times, including hitting a two-run homer, as the Cubs won in Cincinnati last night, 9-4. Chicago is home to St. Louis at Wrigley Field tomorrow.
