UNDATED (WHTC) - The Los Angeles Dodgers may have already played three games, including last night’s 3-1 loss at San Diego, but major league baseball’s traditional “Opening Day” is today. The Tigers host Kansas City in a contest that you can hear on 1450 WHTC, beginning at 12:40 PM; the Cubs travel to Pittsburgh; and the White Sox are home to Minnesota.

March Madness is over for Michigan State and Michigan, as the Spartans fell to Connecticut yesterday, 60-54, and the Wolverines lost to Kentucky last night, 75-72.

David Legwand set up one goal and scored what proved to be the game-winning tally with 3:24 left in the second period, as the Red Wings held off visiting Tampa Bay last night, 3-2. Detroit is home to Boston on Wednesday evening, with coverage on 1450 WHTC at 7:40 PM.

Sidney Crosby scored two late third-period goals to break open a 2-1 game and give Pittsburgh a 4-1 decision over the visiting Blackhawks last night. Chicago entertains Minnesota on Thursday evening.

DJ Augustin came off of the bench to toss in 33 points as the Bulls won in Boston yesterday, 107-102. The two teams have a rematch at the United Center in Chicago tonight.

The Pistons welcome Milwaukee to the Palace of Auburn Hills this evening.

Teemu Pulkkinen had a pair of goals as the Griffins won at Milwaukee last night, 4-1. Grand Rapids hosts Iowa at Van Andel Arena on Wednesday evening.
