GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - Cross-examination of defendant Ryan Wyngarden highlighted the 10th day of testimony in the double-murder trial of the 52-year-old Zeeland man, centering over his alleged incestuous relationship with his sister and conflicting stories that he told investigators. Wyngarden is accused of shooting Gail Brink and her husband Rick at their Park Township home in 1987 in an attempt to cover up that relationship, while the defense claims that the prosecution’s key witness, Wyngarden’s wife Pam, was coerced by detectives to collaborate that contention. The defense wrapped up its case this morning; the trial could go to the jury by tomorrow.
