UNDATED (WHTC) -- The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for residents living near the Grand River in both Ottawa and Kent Counties. Two ice jams have been confirmed just north of downtown Grand Rapids which is causing water to back up over the riverbanks. Residents with homes or property along the Grand River should be prepared for fluctuating river levels as the ice moves downstream. Ice jams will form in shallow spots, in sharp bends and very frequently at bridges. The Flood Watch is in effect until 11 A.M. Friday.
