HOLLAND, MI (WYVN) - Brent Alan has been named the Brand Manager/Morning Show Host of Radio Station WYVN/92.7 The Van in Holland/Saugatuck.
Brent began at WHTC in Holland March of 1998, but this is not where his love of radio began. When Brent was in high school he had his own at home radio show where he put together a tape with the top 10 songs of the day and played it for his fellow students on the bus on the way to and from school. After high school Brent started a mobile DJ business playing all over West Michigan for weddings, high school dances and parties. In 1992 Brent found himself hosting an evening radio show at an all-volunteer radio station, WBYW in Grand Rapids. His show was a mix of all genres of music, rock, pop, and country. In 1995 he was hired at WCUZ in Grand Rapids, from there he began his commercial radio career. Only 3 years later Brent was given an opportunity to work full time in radio as an on air personality in the afternoon at WHTC. The last 16 years have brought him through the positions of afternoon drive show host at WHTC to Morning Show host of WHTC to Brand Manager of both WHTC and WYVN/92.7 The Van. His love of Holland and the Lakeshore and his love of radio have brought him to where he is today.
Brent’s new position will allow him the opportunity to focus on The Van and serve the Lakeshore community even better. “As a kid who grew up in Grand Rapids and came out to the Big Lake whenever possible, I’ve felt so blessed to be able to work & live in the amazing Holland/Saugatuck area and near Lake Michigan. I am extremely excited to bring a live, locally focused, music intensive morning show back to The Van, I feel like a little kid. “The Lakeshore’s Wake Up Call” will be a fun, family friendly mix of music, contests, comedy and information, with heavy emphasis on social media, texting & the great Hit music that our listeners know and love”.
Brent will host "The Lakeshore's Wake Up Call" on 92.7 The Van and http://927thevan.com/listen-live every weekday morning from 6 AM to 9 AM, beginning on Monday, May 17.
