In exhibition baseball yesterday: Tigers 3, Miami 1; Cubs 10, Milwaukee 8; and White Sox 2, Oakland 2. Today, the Tigers face St. Louis, with broadcast time on 1450 WHTC at 1 PM; the Cubs meet San Francisco; and the White Sox take on Milwaukee.


Chris Kreider scored twice and Henrik Lundqvist turned aside 30 shots as the New York Rangers blanked the visiting Red Wings yesterday, 3-0. Detroit skates at Columbus tomorrow evening; you can hear the game on 1450 WHTC, starting at 6:40 PM.

Jonathan Toews’ goal at the 1:34 mark of the third period broke a 1-1 tie and gave the Blackhawks a 2-1 victory at Buffalo last night. Chicago travels to Colorado on Wednesday evening.

The Bulls needed overtime to halt the Heat in Miami yesterday, 95-88, thanks in part to DJ Augustin, who tallied 22 points. Chicago welcomes San Antonio to the United Center tomorrow night.


In state major college basketball yesterday, Michigan State lost at Ohio State, 69-67. This evening, Central Michigan is at Eastern Michigan.
