HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- A sophomore on Hope College’s women’s basketball team is this season’s MIAA Most Valuable Player of the Year. Forward Maura McAfee was selected by the league’s coaches as MVP. It’s the eighth time in history that the Flying Dutch have been honored. Senior guard Megan Kelley was named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Year and senior Brittany Berry claimed All-MIAA Second Team Honors. The Flying Dutch begin tournament play on Friday against Wisconsin Lutheran in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
