HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- A 24 hour dance marathon to support the Children’s Miracle Network at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital is scheduled at Hope College this Friday, with the kick-off celebration beginning at 7 P.M. at the college’s Dow Center. It’s the 15th consecutive year for the campus-wide Dance Marathon fundraiser. Brie Hakim in the Student Life Center says a record number of students, more than 800, have signed up. There are many other events going on in support of the marathon. A six hour Dance Marathon at West Ottawa High School last Friday raised more than $21-thousand. Hope is one of more than 150 colleges, universities and high schools affiliated with the Children’s Miracle Network nationwide.
