JAMESTOWN TWP., MI (WHTC) - Crews from four departments spent about 45 minutes controlling a house fire in southeast Ottawa County last night. The blaze off of 8th Avenue between Quincy and Riley Streets caused about 20 thousand dollars in damage when sparks from a coal-burning stove ignited the immediate area around it. The residents were not present at the time, and a family dog was rescued. No firefighters were hurt in the incident.
