HOLLAND (WHTC) -- On Monday, June 23, the West Ottawa School District had a public hearing during which it approved the 2014-2015 school year budget. Assistant Superintendent of Financial Services for West Ottawa, Jim English, said that there weren’t many changes from the 2013-2014 budget plan
“There was an increase in state funding and a decrease in federal funds so our budget is showing a $30,000 deficit for next year,” English said.
English said that the deficit will not affect the school because of a roughly half a million dollar surplus obtained at the end of this year’s budget. To see the plan in full, visit the district’s business office during normal business hours at 1138 136th Avenue, Holland, Michigan.
