UNDATED (WHTC) - Max Scherzer threw a three-hit shutout, striking out eight, as the Tigers beat the White Sox in Chicago last night, 4-0. This evening, while the Sox stay home and welcome Kansas City to US Cellular Field, Detroit hosts Minnesota, with coverage from Comerica Park at 6:40 PM on 1450 WHTC.


Edinson Volquez scattered seven hits and struck out five over seven innings as Pittsburgh blanked the visiting Cubs last night, 4-0. Chicago travels to Philadelphia this evening.


Josmar Cordero’s solo homer in the fourth inning broke a 2-2 tie, and Great Lakes went on to defeat the visiting Whitecaps last night, 6-2. West Michigan visits South Bend this evening.
