OTTAWA COUNTY, MI (WHTC) -- The Ottawa County Road Commission accepted bids recently for the 2014 County-Wide Hot Mix Asphalt Surfacing Program. Some of the projects included in the program are Quincy St. between 40th and 24th Ave., New Holland St. from 104th to 96th Ave and 100th Ave. at the railroad tracks to Riley St. The engineer’s estimate for the Program was $4, 852,336.50 (more than 4.8 million dollars). The apparent low bid at a bit more than $3.9 million dollars came from Rieth-Riley Construction, which is almost $1-million dollars less than the engineer’s estimate.
