HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- The Holland Fire Department responded to a residential fire just after 4 P.M. on Tuesday. Dispatch received a call saying that there was a lot of smoke coming from a garage attached to a house located at 437 W. 32nd St. The first units arrived on scene less than five minutes after being dispatched. The fire was extinguished quickly and contained to the garage area of the home. Fire personnel stay on scene for about an hour to salvage items and remove smoke from the living area of the residence. The damage is estimated to be less than $10-thousand dollars and the home is habitable. The cause of the blaze is under investigation but appears to be accidental in nature.
