WARREN (WKZO) -- Warren police say they will not seek charges in a case involving a 62-year-old man who drove cross-country with the body of his girlfriend.
Ray Tomlinson was driving his elderly mother and 31-year-old girlfriend from Arizona to Michigan but discovered the younger woman had died during the trip. Tomlinson said he wanted to get her body back to the Macomb County morgue and he didn't want his vehicle to be impounded hundreds of miles from home.
Police say it appears Tomlinson had no ill intent in the case. Authorities are awaiting toxicology tests to determine the cause of the woman's death.
