ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) - A two-day “charrette” to discuss the future of the Allegan County Courthouse ends around the Noon Hour at the Griswold Auditorum in Allegan. A variety of county and Allegan city officials are huddling with community leaders to go over short- and long-term options for the Chestnut Street building in light of growing traffic congestion in the area, as well as the opening of a new County Jail at the site of a former Haworth factory on River Street. County Commissioners plan to use the findings from this session as guidance for any future course of action.
