ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) - A nearly 500 thousand-dollar Splash Pad and amenities off of the intersection of Main and Elm streets in downtown Zeeland was opened to the public last night. Chilly temperatures kept many youngsters and the young at heart out of the water streams, but more than a thousand people were on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremonies. Organizers say that around 20 thousand dollars still need to be raised in order to fully fund the project.
