LANSING (WKZO) -- The federal government says there wasn't enough winter damage in northern Michigan for a disaster declaration from FEMA. The Federal Emergency Management Agency says the state submitted damages of 10.1-million dollars, with the threshold for a disaster declaration being 13.7-million. Up to six-million dollars in state aid could be available to repair damaged infrastructure through the Michigan Strategic Fund.
