HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - A 15-cent spike at the pump along the Lakeshore a week ago has been more than made up. This morning’s survey of Holland-area stations showed a per-gallon average of $3.48, down 17 cents from last Friday, and 22 cents below what local motorists were paying for fuel at this time in 2013. The lower costs may stem from a nationwide increase in gasoline inventories, even though crude oil stockpiles are down. Triple-A’s daily polling had a nickel-and-dime feel to it today with marks of $3.54 nationally and $3.53 statewide, down five and 10 cents, respectively, over the past week.
