GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) - A four-year-old girl was rescued from the waters of Lake Michigan off of the South Pier in Grand Haven late yesterday morning. Her mother had dived in to save her, and bystanders threw a life ring from the pier to pull both the woman and the child to safety; neither of them were hurt or needed medical treatment. Grand Haven Public Safety officials didn’t disclose the identities of the victims, nor give any details as to what led to the incident.
